Benefits of Exercising

Physical activity supports physical and mental health. The benefits of physical activity make it one of the most important things you can do for your health. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle strenghthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. 

Exercising relieves tension, irritabilty, and anxiety through endorphins released by the brain. The endorphins make the body fell good and help it relax, and supress tension and daily stressors. In other words, it's not just good for your physical body, exrcising regularly also promotes sound mental health

Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of diesease, strenghtens bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Adults who sit less and do any amount of moderate -to-vigorous physical activity gain some health benefits.
